Outside of my window, the rain is pouring down and it somehow reminds me of sitting in a car while going through a car wash. The pitter-patter sound fills the room as the raindrops hit the window, growing louder with every wind gust. Thankfully, I’m inside with a warm cup of tea, and looking through photos of a beautiful Seattle Fall day on Mercer Island, where I had the opportunity to photograph Ben & Teresa’s Catholic wedding.

Teresa is from my hometown of Bellingham, and so it was fun to see some familiar faces at the wedding and reception. As I sip my tea, I’m remembering the part of the day when Ben & Teresa stepped away to take photos after the ceremony. There was a glow of excitement in the air, and it was the perfect chance for them to enjoy that feeling without any distractions.
