These two are just so awesome. I think we spent the majority of our engagement session chatting with each other. Nick contacted me regarding engagement photos for his quickly approaching wedding, He mentioned that his fiance, Kiran, lives in San Francisco, but is planning to fly to Seattle. So we made it happen!
I was even more stoked that they wanted their engagement photos at Alki Beach, in West Seattle. It’s such a beautiful location, with great views of the Seattle Skyline and the Space Needle. It was an absolutely perfect sunny Seattle afternoon!
These two were naturals! They felt so comfortable in front of the camera, and with each other. It was a super fun time. Also, I gotta give them props for being in a long distance relationship. It can definitely be challenging at times, but they pushed through it, and have a fantastic relationship. I love how happy they were the entire time.
Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!
Hope everyone enjoys these engagement photos of Nick and Kiran- they both look so good!

Our engagement photography session began in Capitol Hill and took us all the way to the Cascade Mountains. I wanted these photos to capture and reflect the spirit of Kruti and Pritesh’s strong relationship.
A few (of the many) things Kruti and Pritesh have taught me over the years:
- Always push yourself to become a better person.
- Take time to reflect on who you are, who you were, and where you want to be in life. Act on it.
- If you’re out of your comfort zone, you’re doing something right.
- When life gives you a challenge, first turn to your family for guidance and advice. Trust in their support. Then kick the challenge in the butt!
- Be kind to everyone around you. Always.
- Work hard.
- Let ambition be your guide.
- A good education is always an asset.
- Relationships are like a stew. They take time and patience, and the final result will only be as good as the ingredients you put into it.
- Love and respect your family, for they are the support system for your life now, and in the future.
- Emotions are transitory and are not a good way to make decisions.
- Look inside yourself. Often.
- Have faith. Trust in faith.
I hope these photos provide a small glimpse into love of these two cool people. I’m so excited to photograph their wedding, and wish them the very best! Thanks to everything you guys have taught me.
Okay, so I know there are a TON of pictures for this blog post, but I couldn’t help it!! I had to post them all! It was so tough to narrow it down to just these….. hope you guys enjoy!
Kruti and Pritesh really got to know each other through hiking and nature. They share a passion for the outdoors and early in their relationship, many of their deep talks happened while hiking together. Kruti trained for 1 year to climb Mount Rainier, and Pritesh did much of that with her. It was so meaningful for them to go through that experience together. To push themselves, to grow, to overcome challenges together, and to share that sense of achievement.
We wanted to incorporate this very important element into their engagement photos.
During our session, when we were standing by the lake, there was a moment when they were embracing each other, holding each other in complete silence. It seemed like all the sounds around us disappeared and it was just the two of them. Lost in each others arms. You could feel love in the air. You could feel that connection they have with each other. Such a memorable moment.
Thanks Kruti and Pritesh!

“The most precious gift we can offer others is our presence.”
Everything about this quote reminds me of Chris and Robin. To their son, Henry, they continuously offer their presence and love. To their family & friends, they offer genuine kindness, love, and care.
During our maternity photo session, I was so humbled by Chris’ mom because of her devotion to giving herself to her children and grandchildren. She often drives from Bellingham to spend time with Henry, Chris, and Robin. Similarly, Robin’s parents also frequently visit to spend time with the family. It felt inspiring to see this family bond, where each member offers the gift of their presence. After all, the lessons, values, and morals we learn from our family will remain with us throughout our lives. This love and community of family will be the nourishment for Henry (and his soon-to-be brother) to blossom into fine gentlemen.
“When mindfulness embraces those we love, they will blossom like flowers”
In a way, the beautiful cherry blossoms in these maternity photos represent the blossoming of a new life to join their family. They represent the relationship and love that blossomed between Chris and Robin, and the love always being given to Henry. There were so many times during our photo session, that I could actually feel their love radiating into the world. I hope these photos capture and portray even a small fraction of the great love they share.
Life is about love. Family. Relationships. It’s about giving yourself to others, and practicing mindfulness in everything you do for them so they may embrace their full potential, and blossom. When we take the focus off ourselves, and place it on others, we will grow and experience a happier life.
Thanks for the opportunity to capture these special moments of your pregnancy, and I hope that you’ll look back on these and remember the journey of creating a beautiful family. Thanks for your positive energy and happiness during the session. You guys are awesome!!!

Thank you Chris and Robin!
I love being inspired. Feeling that rush of excitement, optimism, and desire to create. For some, inspiration comes through music, or reading, while others may find it through art or poetry. For me, a huge source of inspiration has always been people. I love spending time with friends, or new people, and always leave feeling inspired in some way.
This was definitely the case with Dave and Mandy (coolest parents ever), and their awesome young family. Can you believe the newest addition to their family is only 1 month old! Wow, he was incredibly cute at the park. Even though the little guy was sleeping for most of the time, we were able to capture some great photos when he woke up.
Dave and Mandy like to enjoy life. Ever since I’ve known them, they have always been super happy people. I wanted these photographs to show their positive personalities, and the way they have fun with their children, and create memorable experiences for them. This was inspiring to me. I enjoyed seeing them play with Halen, and encourage him to be a kid and have fun. This is what life is about- creating cherished memories with family.
Thanks Dave and Mandy, for such a memorable experience. I can’t wait to visit California so we can spend more time together. It’s always so much fun!
Hope you enjoy these photos of your super awesome family!
Thanks Mandy and Dave!
